What He Sayin’: Thanksgiving Edition

This Thanksgiving (yes we’re going back that far), I pulled up the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to watch on TV with Ryder. I figured he’d enjoy the balloons and the rest of the spectacle, and I was right. He was into it. There were a few choice lines that came out of the co-viewing experience.

The Rockettes. Rockin' It.

The Rockettes came onto the TV, dancing and parading around.
Ryder: “Who are they, daddy? They’re dancing around.”
Ryan: “They’re called the Rockettes.”
Ryder: “With no pants.”

Watch Out! Here comes the Spider-Man

Later, a giant Spiderman balloon came onto the screen. He was floating toward the camera.
Ryder: “Is that Spiderman?”*
Ryan: “Yes, that’s Spiderman.”
Ryder: “Is he going to eat our TV?”

*I don’t even know where he’d get the knowledge to know that’s Spiderman. Although I guess he could’ve overheard the parade commentators describing the balloon as such.
