There had been discussion about watching the Pixar movie, Cars one day since we’d probably be snowed in.
Caitlin: “Maybe we can go get the movie after nap”
Ryder: “Ooh I Iike that movie!”
Caitlin: “Oh yah?”
Ryder: “It’s a very beautiful movie, mommy.”

Cait’s mom (Grandma Kitty) came to visit recently. Here’s an exchange that took place on the way home from the airport.
GK: “Where are your sneakers from, Ryder?”
Ryder: “They’re from the FedEx truck.”

We were reading a book called Goodnight Zoo. A gorilla plays a prominent role in the book. And in the following comment from our son:
Ryder: “That’s a mother gorilla, because she has boobies, I think.”

One morning, we were making breakfast.
Ryder: “So…what’s going on with you?”
Ryan (surprised at his adult-casual tone and language): “How’d you get to be a genius?”
Ryder: “Probably from Gene’s Sausage Shop.”
