Goin' Back to Cali

Some, but not all, visitors to this blog might know that we recently took a trip to California, our former state of residence. We really miss the weather and lots of things about the state, but that wasn’t really why we went there. We first arranged our trip when we got the news that the wedding of Jared and Courtney would be happening out in Sonoma, CA. After thinking about the logistics of the trip for a little while, we figured we’d probably better do an extended trip*, even though it likely would not always be “fun.”And, I think we were right – we had a lot of good times with our friends and family, and some rough ones traveling with the kids. Stay tuned in the next few days – I’ve written up some descriptions of the various parts of the trip.

Overall it was a great trip.
We won’t take another one like it for a few years.
Like until the kids are about ten years old or so.
That’s what I say.

*On a previous trip to Italy, we were debating whether or not we should go to Rome. We decided against it, mutually agreeing that “We’d just pop back over for a dedicated weekend or trip to Rome at some point in the future.” We have not, in fact, popped back over to Rome.
