They’re Just Like Us

A few weeks ago (at least, making the lag time between the event and this post a source of frustration for Caitlin), I found myself in an AT&T store near my workplace. For the second time, I was trying to get a corporate discount applied to my account. I’m  minding my own business when my celebradar starts to blow up. I notice a dude that I think is Chicago’s own Ed Swiderski milling about in the store.

After arriving home from our California trip, we didn’t have much in the way of breakfast in the morning. I happily agreed with Caitlin’s idea of MCDB (try saying it that way, you’ll like it), more commonly known as McDonald’s Breakfast. I’ve never wavered in my loved of McDonald’s breakfast – only my concern for its effect on my waistline and arteries stops me from eating it every day.

Let’s Get It Started

It recently came to my attention that Oprah shut down a large section of what is referred to as the Magnificent Mile a few weeks ago. Who? Oprah Winfrey – the lady with the talk show. You know, there was a 30 Rock episode that seemed to be about her on some level? Yes! That one.

Coincidentally, I happened to have an appointment on south Michigan on the Tuesday after Labor Day that she was having the party. So it was pretty obvious something was going on. I can figure out stuff like that; I’m very much like a private detective with an obnoxiously casual dress code. Continue reading
